We are pleased to announce the 26th International Symposium on Ion-Atom Collisions (ISIAC) in Paris, France, July 20-22, 2019. This follows the former meetings held in Palm Cove (2017), Barcelona (2015), Beijing (2013), Caen (2011), Norfolk (2009), Agios Nikolaos (2007), Rio de Janeiro (2005), ...
The conference venue will be the campus Pierre et Marie Curie of Sorbonne University, in the center of Paris.
The International Symposium on Ion-Atom Collisions is a biennial satellite of the International Conference on Photonic, Electronic and Atomic Collisions (ICPEAC). In 2019 both events will be held in France. ISIAC will take place from the 20th to the 22th of July, right before ICPEAC XXXI in Deauville. We expect to attract about more than 80 participants from all over the world, giving them an opportunity to present and exchange detailed information at a specialised meeting. As usual, the symposium will cover all ion-atom collision phenomena including excitation, ionisation and charge transfer, from low to relativistic velocities as well as interactions of ions with surfaces, molecules and clusters.
The program includes invited and contributed talks as well as flash presentations and one poster session. Here is a list of main topics to be covered:
- Fundamental processes in ion-atom and ion-molecule collisions
- Ion-surface and ion-solid interactions
- Fragmentation of molecules and clusters
- Ion-biomolecule interactions
- Laser-assisted collisions
- Atomic collision processes
- New developments, techniques and instrumentation
- Applications, including hadron therapy, plasmas physics, ...
We look forward to welcoming you in Paris !
